Windows 7 : Partition Your Hard Disk Without Using Software

Hi everyone. Today I want to show you how to make a new partition on your hard disk in Windows 7 without using third party software. Well don't worry because the process is quite simple. You just need to do the following 3 simple steps:

1. First open up Disk Management:
Step 1: Click on "Start" button
Step 2: In the "Search" box, type disk management and Click on "Create and
                format hard disk partitions"

2. Shrink partition in order to create a new volume:
Step 1: In "Disk Management", Right-Click on the disk that you want to shrink then
Click "Shrink Volume" and a message about calculating available space to
                shrink will pop up.
Step 2: Enter the amount to shrink and Click "Shrink"

3. Create a simple volume out of the new created free space:
Step 1: Right-Click on the newly created free space and Click on
"New Simple Volume" and a "New Simple Volume Wizard" will be opened
Step 2: Click "Next", specify simple volume size in MB then Click "Next" again
Step 3: It will ask for a letter to be assigned. Just Click "Next"
Step 4: Just leave the format settings to default but give a name for the new partition
                and then Click "Next"
NOTE: You can also rename it in "My Computer" later.
Step 5: Click "Finish" and you are done.

Ok, that's all. Easy right? LOL! Please leave a comment or email me if you don't understand a thing or two. See ya!
